Computers and YouHealth and technology is an interesting discussion. Just as there have been advances in health care thanks to new techniques, the technology itself may have created even more issues.

The obvious example is the so-called hygiene hypothesis, where it’s believed that our increased hygiene has actually made us sicker, as we are simply aren’t exposed to as many diseases as we used to be. As more and more of the environment in which we find ourselves is sanitized for our protection, we need deal with fewer and fewer invasions that our bodies’ self-defense mechanisms must deal with. Even some types of diet may contribute to this, as we aren’t dealing with any problems for our systems to deal with.

In a lot of ways, we need to run away from our computers and into the sunlight. We need to enjoy the three-second rule rather than discarding automatically any food that hits the ground. We need to stop worrying about encountering a few germs, and start worrying that we may too afraid of living to actually live. Cleanliness may be next to godliness, but it may also help us meet Him if we don’t practice it in moderation.
